ISOTROPY Software Suite Tutorials
Branton J. Campbell and
Harold T. Stokes
Department of Physics and Astronomy, Brigham Young University, USA
Download and unzip the tutorial files and instructions.
Ideally, you should work through the "Installation and Preparation" section of the
tutorial instructions before arrival.
Download and install the ISOVIZ software from the ISOVIZ website.
We'll demonstrate several of the tutorial exercises during the virtual workshop. You can then work through them again on your own and ask questions between sessions or later via email.
Ascii-text editor
You'll need an ascii-text editor (not a word processor) for almost every tutorial. We recommend Notepad++ (but not Notepad or Wordpad) for Windows, or the built-in TextEdit for Mac with plain-text set as the default preference (Preferences -> New Document -> Format -> Plain text). If you already have a favorite ascii-text editor, you can use that instead.
