Physics Teaching opening at The Hockaday School

The Hockaday School in Dallas, TX, an all-girls PreK-12 college preparatory school.   We have an opening for a physics faculty member to join our Upper School (grades 9-12) faculty this coming year.  This would be an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate, adjunct faculty member, or others in your circle who may have interest in science education at the secondary level to join a creative, supportive, and innovative team of educators, at one of the nation's premier all-girls schools.  Our Upper School science curriculum begins with a year of physics and engineering in 9th grade, followed by chemistry and biology in 10th and 11th grades, respectively.  Many of our students return for a year of calculus-based physics in their senior year.  We also offer a multitude of elective options for students in interdisciplinary subjects, and opportunities for original, self-directed research and programs of study.

Please contact me for Dr. Marshall Bartlett, the Science Department Chair, for further details and to apply.  I'm also a proud alumni of the physics program at BYU (class of 1997).
