Mark Transtrum: BYU Early Career Scholarship Award

Mark Transtrum received a BYU Early Career Scholarship Award.  This award encourages and acknowledges outstanding promise and contributions by junior faculty in scholarship.  Transtrum leads the field of “sloppy modeling,” which reduces intractable systems to simple models that retain the critical features of the full system. He collaborates widely with colleagues on and off campus, and his work has attracted significant funding. Transtrum’s talent, curiosity, sincere love for students, and hard work make him an excellent mentor and colleague.  The recent magazine from the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences highlighted Mark’s involvement in Brighter Beams. <insert link to college article>
